Chicago Tribune - More Media Bias Against The Police

The Chicago Tribune ran a story yesterday about the police shooting of 15 year old Tatioun Williams. Apparently, Williams and a friend pointed a gun at person and then stole the person's wallet and ipod. When police responded, Williams pointed a gun at the police and the police shot and killed Williams. The robbery victim's wallet and ipod were then recovered. So, what's the focus of the Tribune article? A bunch of quotes from Williams' mother claiming that "my son would never carry a gun" and "they could have taken him to jail." So, are we supposed to believe that the robbery victim and the police are making all this up about Williams having a gun and pointing it at the robbery victim and the police? And when a person points a gun at the police, whatever their age, are the police not entitled to defend themselves?Williams apparently has prior arrests as well. But, the Chicago Tribune reporters (Deanese Williams-Harris, Jeremy Gorner and William Lee) spin the story like the police did something wrong. C'mon Tribune, you can do better.
